2012 Lotus Exige S

Lotus has finally unveiled the new Exige S. This "ultimate light high performance sports" is taking a new look inside and out, and a new engine that adds over 100 HP at the exit of the car.

The appearance of the 2012 Lotus Exige S still claimed as an Exige, but always smooth complements the sporty look, while adding a degree of aggressiveness in the design. The Exige S now has a new front splitter that reveals a cleaner line at the front of the car and a smaller rear spoiler, which further improve the aerodynamics of the vehicle.

The Exige S is now working with a mid-mounted transverse V6 3.5 liters DOHC VVI-i engine generates an output of 345 HP, far from the previously used 257 HP 1.8L supercharged Toyota I4. The reason for this massive upgrade is evident when the weight of the car was introduced into the equation. The former model claimed 2077 pounds, while the new Exige S recessed into 2380 lbs. Once the additional weight is brought, the Exige S '0-60 mph time is even better, reaching 3.8 seconds (from an earlier time of 4.0 seconds) and speed increases of up to 170 miles per hour (from an earlier 145 mph).
