The 2013 Toyota Auris, the second generation of compact-class representative of Japan is 55 mm flatter than before, which not only provides a lower center of gravity and a more dynamic appearance, but also reduces drag.
Available in two diesel engines, two petrol and a proposal for a full hybrid, the new Toyota Auris 2013 has a power range from 90 to 136 horsepower. The 1.3 Dual VVT-i 99 horses and 128 Nm at 3,800 rpm consumes 5.4 liters of fuel per 100 km, while the 1.6 Valvematic is capable of 132 horsepower and 160 Nm at 4,400 rpm with a declared consumption equal to 5.9 liters per 100 km.
Among the offerings is : the smallest diesel which is the 1.4 D-4D 90 hp and 205 Nm developed between 1,800 and 2,800 rpm: this engine consumes 4.2 liters for every 100 km, while the most powerful diesel version is powered by the 2.0 D-4D with Start & Stop system: the power is 124 hp and consumption is slightly higher, only 4.3 liters per 100 km. The Hybrid Synergy Drive combines the internal combustion engine 1.8 VVT-i with a 60kW electric that together generate 136 horsepower. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h is covered in 10.9 seconds, top speed is 180 km / h and the range in EV is 2 km.
